Afero Profile Editor 1.1.6 Release Notes

Release date: 28 August 2017

We’re happy to release an update to Afero Profile Editor today! You can download the new version at:

If you are running the current (non-Chrome) version of Profile Editor you should be prompted automatically to upgrade.

Changes in this version include:

  • Added new device icon for Modulo-2.
  • Updated image on the right side of the Attributes screen to match the developer board used in the current project.
  • Updated links to documentation to point to the updated Afero Developer Portal.
  • Added RAM usage indicator on the Attributes window, for monitoring space available for developer-defined device attributes.
  • Fixed bugs and made various small improvements.

When creating new profiles for your devices, please use “Modulo-1” or “Modulo-2” - the other entries there aren’t functional quite yet. Stay tuned!

About APE 1.2.26.
The upgrade took place smoothly,

But then it won’t allow me to publish to my modulo-1,
saying “The device on this device is out of date …”

And so far, no OTA is taking place, which means
I can not keep working on.

Would you tell me when OTA will be available
or if there is/are workaround to publish APE set up
to my modulo-1 (SW v15595) ?

About an hour ago OTA started again.
And my modulo-1 started working again.

We rolled the OTA service last night to fix an issue with it, and it seems that the update happened right around the time you were seeing an issue. Thanks for letting us know, and everything should be working fine now, please let us know if you see any other issues!

Hi, Joe-san!

Thank you for the information.

BTW, could you (or afero) announce the schedule of update beforehand?
So that we, developers can prepare the event instead of spending
frustrating hours of our lives?
